York

York is one of our favorite 'return to' British destinations. We never ever tire of this beautiful and ancient walled city and I've lost count of how many times we've been here..... On this 2005 trip, Holly and her friend Jessica spent a whole day here, while Allan and I continued on the train from London to Durham in Northumberland, returning to York in the early evening to meet Holly and Jessica for dinner and a late train back to London. The beauty of this ancient and historical city never fades or diminishes for us. Each time we visit York we are as enchanted as we were the very first time we laid eyes on this lovely place.
